Sea customs centers in Abu Dhabi have recently been equipped with advanced inspection devices, including two for scanning bags and parcels, two for scanning containers and trucks at Khalifa Port, and one for scanning containers at Zayed Port. These devices can handle up to 120 trucks per hour and are all connected to a control room for continuous monitoring of operations. The devices adhere to the highest standards of radiological health and safety, and comply with global specifications and standards, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of customs operations across border ports in Abu Dhabi, the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has implemented a project to equip sea customs centers with advanced devices. These devices are equipped with modern technologies supported by artificial intelligence systems and utilize rapid scan technology. This strategic project aims to meet the needs of all customs ports, enhance performance efficiency, and speed up inspection processes, ultimately supporting sustainable economic development.

The advancement of customs operations in Abu Dhabi aligns with the vision of enhancing the inspection system, following the successful implementation of advanced devices at Al Ain’s land customs centers in January. Mubarak Matar Al Mansoori, Executive Director of the Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs, emphasized the importance of strengthening the inspection system to ensure the smooth transit of goods, facilitate trade movement, and support sustainable economic development. These efforts underscore the commitment of Abu Dhabi Customs to improving operational efficiency and enhancing safety measures.
