K-pop sensation BTS member Jin has completed his mandatory military service in South Korea, marking the end of over 500 days of duty. Jin, the oldest member of the group, was greeted by his bandmates with flowers and hugs as he emerged from his army base in Yeoncheon. Fans showed their support with colorful banners and balloons, celebrating Jin’s discharge and expressing their love for him.

Despite being urged to stay away, some fans gathered outside the base to catch a glimpse of Jin, including 19-year-old Natose Sunagawa, who traveled from Tokyo with a plush doll of Jin. Jin is the first BTS member to complete his military service, and fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the music scene. He is expected to release solo materials and hold concerts in the near future.

Jin shared his emotions in a livestream on Weverse, expressing his joy at being home and showing off his certificates and commendations from his service. The group is planning a “huggathon” event where Jin will hug 1,000 fans who won a raffle on Weverse before his first performance in two years. His discharge comes just before the 11th anniversary of BTS’s debut, with celebrations planned at HYBE’s office and local cafes.

The completion of Jin’s military service is seen as a positive sign for entertainment stock prices, particularly for HYBE, the agency behind BTS. Analysts believe that Jin’s return to solo performances will lead to a boost in stock price, as BTS is a significant contributor to HYBE’s profits. The next BTS member to finish military service will be J-hope in October, with the rest of the group set to complete their duties by June 2025. Fans are excited for Jin’s comeback and eagerly await his future solo releases and performances.
