A new water station is in the works for East Sitra, with an expected cost of BHD 15 million. The project received bids from four bidders, with quotes ranging from BHD 13,625,568 to BHD 15,619,614. The bidders include well-known companies such as Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi & Sons and Tecton Engineering and Construction. The new water distribution station will be equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including ground storage tanks, an elevated storage reservoir, and solar panels for power generation.

The project will involve the construction of a state-of-the-art water distribution station at the East Sitra Housing Project. The station will include two ground storage tanks with a capacity of 5 MG each, in addition to an elevated storage reservoir capable of holding 1 MG of water. The roofs of all ground storage tanks will be specially designed to accommodate solar panels for power generation, emphasizing the project’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The new water station in East Sitra will also include a pumping station, complete with essential equipment such as pumps, motors, switchgear, and other machinery. Importantly, the station will be designed to operate unmanned, with connectivity to the Water Control Centre (WCC) for comprehensive control and monitoring of operations. This will ensure efficient and effective water distribution management, benefiting the citizens of Bahrain.

The project signifies Bahrain’s dedication to advancing infrastructure development for the benefit of its citizens, while also aligning with the nation’s commitment to environmental stewardship. The inclusion of solar panels for power generation highlights the project’s focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. By implementing advanced technologies and state-of-the-art facilities, the new water station in East Sitra will enhance water distribution management and support the country’s infrastructure development goals.

Overall, the construction of the new water distribution station in East Sitra represents a significant investment in Bahrain’s infrastructure. With cutting-edge facilities and a focus on sustainability, the project aims to improve water distribution management and ensure the efficient provision of water to the East Sitra Housing Project. By incorporating solar panels and advanced equipment, the station will not only benefit the residents of East Sitra but also contribute to Bahrain’s commitment to environmental stewardship and infrastructure development.
