‘Bhullar’s Crucial Putts Lead to Second Place Tie at Halfway Mark of Asian Tour in Morocco’ – News

Dubai’s Rayhan Thomas shoots level par to be in Tied 15th as American John Catlin sets the pace in the the $2 million International Series event. The second round of the International Series Morocco saw Gaganjeet Bhullar from India tied second on eight under par after shooting 68. Bhullar, a Dubai Golden VISA Awardee, had six birdies and just one dropped shot on hole 10, hitting 16 of 18 greens in regulation. He expressed his familiarity and liking of the course layout. Leading the field by one shot is American John Catlin, who currently leads the Asian Tour Order of Merit with 13 professional victories in his career.

Dubai-born Rayhan Thomas, who has only been a professional for just over a month, shot a second-round 73 to be at four under par in tied 15th place. The cut fell at level par with 69 players progressing to the weekend. The third round is set to take place on Saturday, with the leaders out last at 10.30 am local time. This week’s event marks the eighth of the season on the Asian Tour and the third of 10 stops on The International Series.

In the second round, Catlin shot 66 and 71 to lead the field with a total of 137. Bhullar followed closely behind with rounds of 70 and 68, totaling 138. Other top players include J. Kozuma from Japan, M. Tabuena from the Philippines, T. Smyth from Australia, and B. Campbell from New Zealand, all tied at 138.
