beIN Media Group has secured a major deal to extend its broadcasting rights for La Liga in 34 markets across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions until the end of the 2027-28 and 2026-27 seasons, respectively. This agreement ensures that beIN Sports will continue to be the exclusive home of Spanish football in these regions. The network has held the rights to La Liga since 2003 in MENA and 2015 in APAC, showcasing all 380 league games across 23 MENA markets.

Group CEO of beIN Media Group, Yousef Al Obaidly, expressed his excitement over the multi-year deals with La Liga, emphasizing the Group’s commitment to supporting Spanish football’s global growth through world-class broadcasting. La Liga President, Javier Tebas, also praised the partnership with beIN, highlighting the importance of delivering top-quality football to fans in the MENA and APAC regions. The new season is set to kick off on August 15, featuring 10 matches and intriguing storylines such as Real Madrid’s new signing Kylian Mbappe and FC Barcelona’s new coach Hansi Flick.

The exclusive broadcast deal covers a wide range of countries in MENA and APAC, including Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Qatar, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. Additionally, beIN will share La Liga rights in Iraq with the regional platform 1001. Beyond broadcasting, La Liga and beIN have collaborated on initiatives to combat audiovisual fraud, which poses a significant threat to the sports industry. Legal actions have been taken in countries like Morocco and Bahrain to block illegal streaming websites and dismantle illicit IPTV services.

Efforts to address audiovisual fraud also extend to the HORECA channel in Spain, where decoders with contracts from other countries are identified and deactivated. By working together to tackle this issue, La Liga and beIN are demonstrating their commitment to upholding the integrity of the sports ecosystem and protecting the interests of clubs, organizations, and broadcasters. The partnership between these two entities continues to evolve, with a shared focus on enhancing the viewing experience for football fans and promoting the growth of Spanish football on a global scale.

In the coming seasons, fans across the MENA and APAC regions can look forward to unparalleled coverage of La Liga matches on beIN Sports, with top teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and newly qualified UEFA Champions League contenders Girona set to captivate audiences. The extension of the broadcasting rights reflects beIN Media Group’s position as a leading sports, entertainment, and media organization committed to delivering premium content to viewers worldwide. As La Liga and beIN continue to collaborate and innovate, the future looks bright for Spanish football enthusiasts in these regions, with access to the best that the league has to offer.
