BDF performs medical evacuation practice to enhance emergency response efforts

The Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) recently conducted a medical evacuation drill at the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre, which was overseen by Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services. The main objective of the drill was to ensure preparedness for managing accidents and emergencies while strengthening coordination with relevant authorities. This was done to ensure comprehensive protection for individuals and the safety of both patients and staff, as well as to instill confidence and security by forming a highly skilled medical and technical team capable of handling emergency injuries.

The Royal Medical Services regularly conducts training exercises in coordination with various agencies to assess and refine their response capabilities. These exercises also include preparing for large-scale patient influxes during emergencies to improve reaction times and overall effectiveness. The drill at the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre was attended by Brigadier Ali Al Kubaisi, General Director of Civil Defence, and representatives from the Kingdom’s health and civil defence sectors.

By conducting drills like these, the Royal Medical Services of the BDF are able to enhance their ability to quickly and effectively respond to emergencies and accidents.
