Barzan Youth Centre wraps up summer programs

Barzan Youth Centre recently concluded its summer activities for 2024 with a ceremony held at the Barzan Academy for Youth Leadership. During the event, Chairman H E Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani addressed the academy’s graduates, as well as guests and parents in attendance, emphasizing the academy’s focus on building entities that prioritize leadership. He highlighted the importance of values and morals, which were introduced in 2023, and stressed the significance of building individuals and advancing society.

Sheikh Abdulaziz explained that the academy is built on three major strategic themes: implementation, skill, and values. He expressed the academy’s dream of producing a high number of graduates who will contribute to societal advancement. Additionally, he noted Barzan’s commitment to creating an integrated cultural society based on vision, values, and objectives. The emphasis is on teamwork, overcoming challenges, and maintaining professionalism to achieve these objectives.

The chairman reiterated that the academy aims to promote a Qatari identity with a strong moral perspective. The new Barzan program represents a significant milestone in advancing Qatar and serving the community. Vice-President Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Thani praised the contributions of over 1,000 young men and women to the academy’s success in 2024. He highlighted the diverse range of activities and leadership programs that were held to nurture the next generation.

Barzan Youth Centre has also organized awareness events for youth, including workshops and lectures focusing on addressing negative behaviors and phenomena that could harm society. Chairman Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani emphasized the centre’s efforts to provide accurate information about health and social risks associated with drug abuse and smoking. This information was tailored to the ages of participants to ensure maximum positive impact and benefits.

Overall, the Barzan Academy for Youth Leadership is dedicated to shaping future leaders who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also grounded in strong values and morals. Through its various programs and initiatives, the academy strives to equip young individuals with the tools and mindset needed to contribute positively to society. The commitment of Barzan Youth Centre to building a culturally rich and socially responsible community is evident in its efforts to instill a sense of identity and morality in its graduates. The recent summer activities and graduation ceremony mark another successful year for the academy and its mission to advance Qatar and serve the community.
