Barcelona’s German coach, Hans-Dieter Flick, addressed the media before the UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich, expressing confidence despite the team’s recent struggles against the German giants. Flick emphasized the importance of focusing on the present and trying to secure a victory in the upcoming match. Barcelona has not defeated Bayern in their last six meetings, with the Catalans failing to score in the last four encounters. However, Flick remains optimistic about the team’s chances and is determined to change the course of history.

Under Flick’s leadership, Barcelona has shown significant improvement since his arrival in Spain earlier this year. The team is currently at the top of the Spanish league and faces tough challenges against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the coming days. Flick, who previously coached Bayern Munich and won six titles in 2020, is looking forward to testing Barcelona against top-class competitors. Despite the past disappointments against Bayern, Flick believes that his team can rise to the occasion and deliver a strong performance in the Champions League clash.

Barcelona’s last triumph in the Champions League came in 2015, and they reached the semi-finals in 2019. Flick is aware of the quality and confidence of Bayern Munich, acknowledging them as a top team with exceptional players. The upcoming match against Bayern is a significant test for Barcelona, and Flick is eager to see how his team performs in such a high-stakes game. Although Flick has fond memories of his time at Bayern, he is focused on his new role at Barcelona and building a successful future with the club.

Despite rumors of a potential match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Miami in December, Flick remained non-committal, stating that his focus is on the immediate challenge of facing Bayern Munich. The idea of playing a match in Miami is in the distant future, and Flick prefers to concentrate on the present moment and the tasks at hand. As Barcelona prepares to take on Bayern Munich, Flick is determined to lead his team to victory and make a statement in the Champions League. With confidence and determination, Barcelona aims to overcome their past struggles and prove themselves against formidable opponents in the upcoming match.
