The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Kuwait, Salah Ali Al Malki, has provided an update on Bahraini citizens involved in a recent traffic accident in Kuwait. According to him, all eight citizens are in stable condition and receiving treatment at Al Jahra Hospital. The group, consisting of two men and six women, was travelling to Iraq when the accident occurred, resulting in injuries for seven of them. While two women sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalisation, the driver and four women are currently undergoing treatment for back injuries. One woman, in her fifties, may need surgery based on the doctor’s assessment of her condition.

Ambassador Al Malki has assured that the embassy is closely monitoring the injured citizens’ condition. The Bahraini Consul, Hassan Al Saba’a, has visited them to check on their well-being and has also been in touch with the attending doctor, Dr Khalid Al Awadhi, to ensure they are receiving appropriate care. The injured individuals will continue their treatment in Kuwait as necessary before being safely repatriated to Bahrain. The Ambassador emphasized the embassy’s dedication to ensuring the well-being of all Bahraini citizens in Kuwait.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety for all travellers, both locals and foreigners. Traffic accidents can happen unexpectedly, resulting in injuries and even fatalities. It is crucial for individuals to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, wear seat belts, and avoid distractions while driving or riding in vehicles. Responsible behaviour on the road can help prevent accidents and reduce the risk of injuries.

In the event of a traffic accident, it is essential to seek immediate medical attention for any injuries sustained. Prompt treatment can make a significant difference in the recovery process and prevent long-term complications. It is also vital for individuals involved in accidents to contact their respective embassies or consulates for assistance and support, especially if they are in a foreign country.

The support provided by the Bahraini Embassy in Kuwait showcases the commitment of diplomatic missions to ensuring the welfare of their citizens abroad. Consular officials play a crucial role in assisting citizens during emergencies, such as accidents or medical crises. Their prompt response and coordination with local authorities and healthcare providers can make a difference in the timely and effective treatment of injured individuals.

As the injured Bahraini citizens in Kuwait continue their recovery, it is important for them to follow their doctor’s recommendations and undergo any necessary treatments or procedures. The embassy’s ongoing monitoring and assistance will help ensure that the individuals receive the care they need and that they are eventually able to return to Bahrain safely. By prioritizing their health and well-being, the embassy is demonstrating its commitment to supporting Bahraini citizens in times of need.

In conclusion, the recent traffic accident involving Bahraini citizens in Kuwait highlights the importance of road safety and the need for prompt medical attention in such situations. The response and support provided by the Bahraini Embassy underscore the crucial role of diplomatic missions in assisting citizens during emergencies. By following proper safety measures and seeking timely medical care, individuals can mitigate the risks associated with accidents and improve their chances of a full recovery. The ongoing monitoring and assistance from the embassy will help ensure that the injured citizens receive the necessary care and support until they are ready to return home.
