Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, recently led Bahrain’s delegation at the 21st meeting of the Supreme Military Committee of the Armed Forces Chiefs of Staff from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The high-level meeting gathered military chiefs from across the GCC member states to discuss key areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening defense integration and coordination within the region. The discussions focused on enhancing future military collaboration and reinforcing the collective defense strategy among GCC countries.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of continued joint efforts to fortify military readiness and defense capabilities, ensuring a unified and strategic approach to regional security challenges. Key topics on the agenda included plans for boosting military coordination, improving operational interoperability among the armed forces, and discussing developments related to defense initiatives that align with the shared vision of GCC leaders.

The committee also reviewed strategies that further the progress of joint military projects, which are part of the long-term goals set by the GCC to ensure stability and security in the region. These efforts reflect the strong commitment of GCC countries to uphold a robust defense system, enhancing their collective ability to address potential threats. The meeting concluded with the reaffirmation of the GCC’s commitment to deepening military collaboration and building on the solid foundation of joint achievements under the guidance of GCC leaders.

The 21st session marks a continued step toward strengthening the strategic partnership among the Gulf states, with a focus on defense and security integration to safeguard the region’s future.
