Bahrain advocates for peace and stability in the region

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain recently reaffirmed his country’s support for regional and international efforts aimed at preventing further conflict and tension in the Middle East. During a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace, HM the King emphasized the importance of containing escalation in the region and preventing further crises that could threaten its stability. He called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to facilitate humanitarian aid and alleviate the suffering of its people, as well as for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution to ensure security and stability. HM King Hamad also stressed the need to end the escalation in Lebanon and preserve its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

Senior officials present at the meeting included His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Hala Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari. Discussions were held on local matters and ongoing efforts to bolster Bahrain’s achievements across all sectors, as well as the latest key regional and international developments. HM the King expressed pride in the dedication of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in advancing the quality of government services provided to citizens, in alignment with the increasing pace of growth in Bahrain.

HM King Hamad commended HRH’s efforts to consolidate the Kingdom’s position and enhance its competitiveness regionally and globally, ensuring that Bahrain remains a modern and progressive nation. He also praised the unity and cohesion of the people of Bahrain, recognizing their shared responsibility in building the nation’s security and prosperity. Looking ahead, His Majesty highlighted the upcoming third session of the sixth legislative term for the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, expressing confidence in a new phase of productive cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to ensure continued national progress.

In conclusion, the meeting between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting regional and international efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the Middle East. The meeting also addressed local matters and ongoing efforts to bolster Bahrain’s achievements across various sectors.
