Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group, in collaboration with Azizi Developments, has signed a 50-year land lease agreement to establish 12 state-of-the-art factories in Kezad A. With a Dh1 billion investment by Azizi Developments, the project will include a reinforcement steel cut and bend facility, timber joinery workshops, and more. The facilities will span 220,000 square meters and will focus on advanced infrastructure to meet the demands of the housing industry in the region.

Modular construction using sustainable materials like aluminium is a forward-thinking approach to building energy-efficient homes and aligns with Kezad’s sustainable business practices. The proposed facilities aim to speed up the production of materials required for the housing sector in Abu Dhabi using cost-effective, faster, and greener methods. This agreement emphasizes AD Ports Group’s and Kezad’s commitment to sustainable industrial manufacturing with minimal waste generation and environmental impact.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities & Free Zones at AD Ports Group, highlighted the project as another addition to the expanding ecosystem of manufacturers in Kezad. He welcomed Azizi Developments to Abu Dhabi and expressed excitement for the launch of the new facilities, emphasizing the significance of sustainable industrial practices in meeting real estate development needs and contributing to economic growth. Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, expressed delight in setting up new facilities in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi’s Al Ma’mourah, outlining plans to establish 12 factories with a combined value close to Dh 1 billion.

The construction industry plays a vital role in urban development and shaping cities and communities, but it also has a significant environmental footprint. As the industry faces the challenge of sustainable construction practices, Azizi Developments’ new establishments in Kezad are set to bring efficiency and speed to production while prioritizing responsible and sustainable measures. By focusing on advanced infrastructure and sustainable materials, the facilities aim to meet the growing demands of the housing industry in the region while reducing waste and environmental impact.

With the emerging needs of a growing urban population, the construction industry must prioritize efforts to tackle waste and environmental impact. The collaboration between Kezad Group and Azizi Developments signifies a step towards sustainable industrial manufacturing practices that will benefit the housing industry in Abu Dhabi. By investing in advanced infrastructure and technology, the proposed facilities aim to streamline production processes and contribute to economic growth while minimizing their environmental footprint. This project demonstrates a commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices in the region.
