Aspetar, QTTA, and ITTF agree to provide medical services at World Championships

Aspetar, Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA), and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) signed a tripartite agreement for the upcoming World Table Tennis Championships in Doha. Aspetar will provide medical and sports medicine services for the championship, as well as host the 17th ITTF Scientific Congress. The agreement was signed by Aspetar’s COO, QTTA President, and ITTF Deputy President.

Aspetar’s COO expressed pride in partnering with ITTF to provide world-class medical care for the upcoming championship. The hospital’s team of experts is dedicated to providing top-level care to all participants. Aspetar will also organize a scientific conference during the tournament to discuss the latest developments in sports medicine and sports science. This partnership reflects Aspetar’s commitment to supporting major sporting events and ensuring athlete safety.

QTTA President Al Mohannadi praised Aspetar’s facilities and global expertise, emphasizing Qatar’s reputation as a hub for sporting excellence. He welcomed the world to Doha for the Table Tennis World Championships, highlighting Aspetar’s valuable partnership in various tournaments. ITTF Deputy President Dr. Meshref expressed excitement about partnering with Aspetar, a leading hospital in sports medicine, to ensure the health and safety of athletes participating in the championship.

The World Table Tennis Championships will take place in Doha from May 17 to 25, 2025, at the Lusail Sports Arena. The prestigious event will feature the world’s top table tennis players competing for the ultimate prize in the sport. Aspetar’s collaboration with ITTF and QTTA underscores the importance of medical support in elite sports competitions and highlights Qatar’s commitment to hosting world-class sporting events.
