Al Shamal President Ibrahim Al Sada recently announced the signing of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah for the upcoming Qatar Stars League season. This marks Bounedjah’s 10th season in Qatar, as he joins the QSL side on a two-year deal. The president expressed his excitement for having Bounedjah on the team and hopes for an improved performance in the upcoming season.

After much speculation, Bounedjah’s future has been confirmed with Al Shamal, putting an end to rumors of a potential move to Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old recently departed from Al Sadd after spending nine successful seasons with the club. Known for his prolific goal-scoring abilities, Bounedjah has notched 150 goals in 157 appearances for the Wolves, along with 30 international goals.

Al Shamal is determined to make a strong comeback in the upcoming season after finishing in ninth place last year in the 12-team QSL. To prepare for the new season, the team will hold preseason training in Tiel, the Netherlands, from July 14 to August 2. The 2024-2025 QSL season is set to kick off on August 9, with high expectations for Bounedjah to continue his goal-scoring prowess with Al Shamal.

The signing of Baghdad Bounedjah brings a wealth of experience and talent to Al Shamal, providing a boost to the team’s attacking prowess. His successful stint with Al Sadd and impressive goal-scoring record demonstrate his capabilities on the field, making him a valuable addition to the squad. Fans of Al Shamal can look forward to seeing Bounedjah in action as he aims to contribute towards the team’s success in the upcoming season.

In addition to his achievements in domestic football, Bounedjah has also showcased his scoring abilities on the international stage, highlighting his versatility as a striker. With a total of 30 international goals to his name, Bounedjah brings a wealth of experience to Al Shamal, further strengthening the team’s offensive capabilities. His presence is expected to elevate the team’s performance and help them achieve their goals in the upcoming QSL season.

As Al Shamal prepares for the new season, the addition of Baghdad Bounedjah signals their intent to compete at the highest level and challenge for honors in the QSL. With the team set to embark on their preseason training camp in the Netherlands, they are focused on building a strong foundation for success in the upcoming campaign. Bounedjah’s signing adds further excitement and anticipation for fans as they eagerly await the start of the 2024-2025 QSL season.
