Elevatus, a provider of human resources technology, has entered a three-year strategic partnership with Al Salama Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in the Kingdom through the implementation of Elevatus’ healthcare recruitment solutions. This partnership signals a broader trend of technology adoption within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding healthcare sector.

Al Salama Hospital, a private facility, will leverage Elevatus’ platform to streamline its hiring processes and support its digital transformation initiatives. The partnership was announced as Saudi Arabia faces a significant shortage of medical personnel, requiring innovative solutions to attract and retain talent.

Addressing the Healthcare Recruitment Challenge in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s healthcare industry is experiencing substantial growth, fueled by Vision 2030 and a rising population. This expansion necessitates a significant increase in the number of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Estimates suggest a need for 175,000 doctors, 64,000 nurses, and 42,000 allied health professionals nationwide, according to industry reports.

The Role of Technology in Streamlining Hiring

Traditional recruitment methods are proving insufficient to meet this demand. Healthcare providers are increasingly turning to technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automated workflows, to improve efficiency and reach a wider pool of candidates. Elevatus’ platform offers features like multilingual career portals – supporting nine languages – and AI-powered personality assessments designed specifically for medical roles.

Raniya Alrajhi, Human Resources Director at Al Salama Hospital, stated the partnership will be “pivotal in helping us deliver top-tier healthcare services.” She highlighted the platform’s user-friendliness and adaptability as key benefits, emphasizing its potential to improve patient outcomes through better staffing.

The Elevatus system aims to reduce bias in the hiring process by focusing on candidate qualifications. The company claims its solutions can reduce time-to-hire by 90% and decrease onboarding duration by 83%. These improvements are crucial in a competitive market where attracting top talent is paramount.

AI-Powered Solutions for Enhanced Candidate Selection

A core component of the Elevatus platform is its use of AI to assess candidate suitability. The system generates medical personality reports, providing insights into how a professional might fit within different roles at the hospital. This data-driven approach complements traditional interviews and evaluations, offering a more comprehensive understanding of a candidate’s potential.

Additionally, the platform facilitates centralized communication across multiple hospital branches, improving coordination and transparency throughout the talent acquisition process. This integrated approach is designed to overcome the logistical challenges often associated with recruiting for large healthcare organizations.

Yara Burgan, CEO and Founder of Elevatus, described the partnership as a “pivotal advancement” in Saudi Arabian medical staffing. She emphasized the alignment between Elevatus’ technology and Al Salama Hospital’s commitment to healthcare excellence, positioning the collaboration as a contribution to Vision 2030.

The Saudi Ministry of Health has been actively promoting the localization of healthcare jobs, while simultaneously recognizing the need to attract qualified international professionals. This dual focus creates a complex recruitment landscape, requiring solutions that can effectively manage both local and global talent pools. The Elevatus platform is designed to support this strategy.

Looking ahead, the success of this partnership will likely be measured by Al Salama Hospital’s ability to reduce vacancy rates, improve employee retention, and maintain high standards of patient care. Further expansion of Elevatus’ services to other healthcare providers in the Kingdom is anticipated, contingent on demonstrating positive results at Al Salama Hospital. The long-term impact on the broader Saudi Arabian healthcare system remains to be seen, but the trend toward technology-driven recruitment is expected to continue.
