Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah are set to face off in the Qatar Cup final, with Al Rayyan coach Leonardo Jardim warning his team of the attacking threat posed by Al Wakrah. Al Rayyan reached the final by defeating Al Gharafa, while Al Wakrah stunned Al Sadd in the semi-finals. Al Rayyan’s forward Roger Guedes expressed confidence in his team’s ability to win the championship, while Al Wakrah coach Ali Rahma Al Marri described Al Rayyan as the best technical side in the league.

Both teams have strong attacking options, with Al Rayyan boasting talented players like Guedes and Al Wakrah featuring Mohamed Benyettou and Gelson Dala. Jardim emphasized the need for his team to be cautious and close down spaces against Al Wakrah’s attacking threats. Al Rayyan finished second in the Expo Stars League and are aiming to end the season with silverware by winning the Qatar Cup and Amir Cup titles.

Al Marri acknowledged the challenge ahead for Al Wakrah against Al Rayyan, but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete. He highlighted the importance of fan support in the final, as Al Rayyan has the largest fan base in Qatar. Benyettou, who expressed happiness at reaching the final, is hopeful for success against a strong opponent like Al Rayyan. The final will take place at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium and is expected to be a thrilling encounter between two competitive teams.
