Al Rayyan and Umm Salal to battle it out in season opener as QSL releases schedule

Qatar’s league football action is set to return on August 9 under a new brand name, the ‘Ooredoo Stars League’ (OSL). The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced that the season will run until April 18, 2025, with 22 rounds of competition. The league kicks off with Al Rayyan facing Umm Salal and Al Khor playing against Al Gharafa in the opening matches.

Al Rayyan, the runners-up from last season, will start their campaign in the Netherlands for their pre-season training camp as they aim to compete for the league title. Al Shamal, who narrowly avoided relegation, will undergo pre-season training in Austria under the guidance of their new Iranian coach.
