Al Qahtani wins Small Tour event as final round of Longines Hathab begins

The 7th Longines Hathab Tour concluded with the 14th and final round at Al Shaqab’s Longines Indoor Arena in Doha, Qatar. Faris Saad Al Qahtani riding Hidiene emerged victorious in the Small Tour, clocking a flawless 30.07 secs in the second stage. Hamad Towaim Al Marri came in second with Famous, while Khalid Mohammed Al Emadi took third place with Mira V/D Roshoeve. The podium winners were honored by Vice Chairman Ali bin Youssef Al Rumaihi and Chairman Mohammed Saleh Al Marri.

In the 80cm Future Riders Two phases category, Khalid Jassim Al Suwaidi claimed the top spot followed by Jassim Adel Al Saegh and Noora Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi. Mohammed Abdulla Al Marri secured the overall title with 261 points, with Sultan Jassim Al Suwaidi in second place with 227 points and Kayan Ibrahim Al Rumaihi in third with 212 points. Director of Qatar Equestrian Teams Abdullah Al Marri presented the awards to the riders after the event.

The 60cm Futures Riders Two phases class was won by Fahad bin Nasser Al Thani riding Coco Chanel SB, followed by Amna Jassim Al Sumaiti with Latino 291 in second place and Noora Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi with Funny Thing in third place. The upcoming events at the tournament include the Amateur and Medium Tours, with the season concluding tomorrow with the Open Class and Big Tour contests.

Overall, the 7th Longines Hathab Tour provided an exciting platform for equestrians to showcase their skills and compete for top honors. The event was a success, with riders from various categories displaying their talents and earning recognition for their achievements. The ceremony to honor the overall and last round winners will be held tomorrow, bringing the season to a close with a celebration of equestrian excellence.
