Al Qadi shines with two wins at Hathab

The opening leg of the eighth season of the Longines Hathab Tour at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s Indoor Arena in Doha showcased some impressive riding talents. Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi emerged as a standout performer, clinching victories in both the Big Tour and Open Class events. Riding Morocco, the 16-year-old seasoned rider completed two flawless routines in the Big Tour competition, clocking the fastest time of 30.98 seconds to secure the win and QR29,000 in prize money. Hamad Nasser Al Qadi also put on a strong showing, finishing second on Stella with a time of 31.92 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the Open Class event, 36 entries competed in a one-round format against the clock. Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi once again proved his skill by guiding Chanel D’Altenbach to a swift victory with a time of 47.53 seconds and no faults, earning him QR6,250. Hamad Towaim Al Marri and Hamad Nasser Al Qadi followed closely in second and third place, showcasing their own impressive performances and taking home QR5,000 and QR3,750 in prize money, respectively.

The Tournament Director, Faisal Al Kahla, expressed satisfaction with the levels displayed by the riders throughout the competition, describing it as a successful start to the season. He praised the riders for their good preparations and exciting performances, and expressed eagerness for the upcoming rounds of the Longines Hathab Tour.

Overall, the opening leg of the Longines Hathab Tour in Doha was a thrilling event that showcased the talent and skill of the participating riders. Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi emerged as a standout performer, securing victories in both the Big Tour and Open Class events with his flawless riding. With impressive performances from other top Qatari riders such as Hamad Nasser Al Qadi and Cyrine Cherif, the competition was fierce and entertaining for spectators and participants alike.

The competition in the Big Tour event saw riders tackle challenging routines with precision and skill, with Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi ultimately emerging as the victor on Morocco. Cyrine Cherif also put on an impressive display, finishing third on Van Gallettana Z and fourth on Triple T Calamando Blue. Nasser Al Ghazali rounded out the top five despite facing challenges during the two routines on Dexter.

In the Open Class event, riders competed in a one-round format against the clock, with Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi once again demonstrating his prowess by guiding Chanel D’Altenbach to a swift victory. The competition was fierce, with notable performances from Hamad Towaim Al Marri and Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, who finished in second and third place, respectively. Tournament Director Faisal Al Kahla praised the riders for their commendable performances and expressed excitement for the upcoming rounds of the Longines Hathab Tour.
