In a thrilling Saudi Pro League clash, Al Nassr managed to salvage a point against Al Ahli with a last-minute equalizer at Al Awal Park in Riyadh. The match, which was part of the third round of the league, ended in a 1-1 draw, much to the delight of the 23,000 spectators in attendance. Al Nassr, coached by Luis Castro, looked set to suffer their first league defeat of the season before Sultan Al Ghannam’s goal in stoppage time rescued them.

The game was marked by a cautious approach from both teams, with neither side displaying strong attacking performances. Al Nassr, starting with new signing Mohamed Simakan in defense, struggled to break through Al Ahli’s solid defensive line. Despite the presence of star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, the home team failed to mount a significant offensive challenge until the dying moments of the game.

On the other hand, Al Ahli, managed by Matthias Jaissle, impressed in the first half with their attacking play. Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié scored the opening goal for Al Ahli in the 57th minute, putting them on course for a victory. However, Al Nassr did not give up and made attacking substitutions in a bid to find the equalizer. Their efforts paid off when Al Ghannam’s shot deflected off a defender and found the back of the net, securing a dramatic draw for the home team.

The match featured a lineup of top players from both teams, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Riyad Mahrez, and Ivan Toney. Despite the star power on the field, it was the lesser-known Sultan Al Ghannam who stole the show with his crucial goal. Both teams will be looking to build on this result as they continue their campaign in the Saudi Pro League.

The draw was a disappointing result for Al Ahli, who had looked set to claim all three points before Al Nassr’s late equalizer. However, it was a moment of joy for Al Nassr and their fans as they were able to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. The Saudi Pro League promises more excitement and drama as the season progresses, with Al Nassr and Al Ahli set to be among the top contenders for the title.

Overall, the match between Al Nassr and Al Ahli provided plenty of entertainment for the fans in attendance and those watching at home. With both teams showing resilience and determination, it was a closely contested encounter that showcased the quality of football in the Saudi Pro League. As the season unfolds, fans can expect more thrilling moments and intense battles as the teams vie for supremacy in one of the top leagues in the region.
