Al Arabi win Amir Cup title to complete treble

Al Arabi players and officials celebrated their victory in the Amir Cup basketball final against Al Sadd, clinching their third title of the season and foiling Al Sadd’s attempt at a third consecutive Amir Cup win. The president of Al Arabi, Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani, received the trophy from Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana of the Qatar Olympic Committee, in the presence of Mohammed Saad Al Mughaiseeb from the Qatar Basketball Association.

The match was a challenging one, with Mustafa Husein Ali Ahmed Rashed being the top scorer for Al Arabi, supported by Mohamed Elsayed Hussein and Christopher Singleton Jr. Al Sadd’s top scorers were Moustafa Fouda, Robert Eugene Glasper Jr, and Babacar Dieng. Al Arabi’s head coach, Hatem Mamlouk, was thrilled with his team’s performance and praised their defensive play, as well as the support from the fans who had hoped for a triumphant season.
