Al Arabi to kick off Gulf Club Champions League campaign against Al Qadisiyah

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Gulf Club Champions League set to kick off on October 22. The tournament will feature eight teams from various Arab countries, including Al Arabi from Qatar, Al Nasr from the UAE, Al Riffa from Bahrain, Al Qadisiyah from Kuwait, Al Ettifaq from Saudi Arabia, Al Ahly Sana’a from Yemen, Dhofar from Oman, and Duhok from Iraq.

The opening match of Group B will see Al Arabi facing off against Al Qadisiyah on October 23 at Al Thumama Stadium. Meanwhile, Al Ettifaq will host Al Riffa in an exciting clash. In Group A, Duhok will take on Al Ahly Sana’a, and Al Nasr will meet Dhofar on October 22 to kick off their campaign in the tournament.

Al Arabi’s journey in the tournament will continue with a second-round match against Al Riffa on November 5, followed by a home game against Al Ettifaq on November 27. The team will then play Al Ettifaq again on December 4, visit Al Qadisiyah on February 5, and face Al Riffa in Doha on February 18 in the second leg of the tournament.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which will take place from March 4 to 12, 2025, with the finals scheduled for April 8 and 15. The champions of the Gulf Club Champions League will walk away with a whopping $3 million, while the runner-up will earn $1 million. Additionally, each participating club will receive $300,000 along with $100,000 for qualifying for the semi-finals. Teams will also receive $30,000 for each away match and $30,000 for each win in the tournament.

In conclusion, the Gulf Club Champions League promises to be an exciting and competitive tournament featuring some of the best clubs from the Arab region. With a lucrative prize fund at stake and top teams battling it out on the field, football fans can expect thrilling matches and intense competition throughout the tournament.
