Al Sadd Football Club players have been hard at work during a preseason training camp in Malaga, Spain. The reigning league champions are gearing up for the upcoming Ooredoo Stars League season, with their first match scheduled against Al Shamal at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on August 10. The team will be returning to Doha on July 29 after continuing their preparations in Spain.

Al Duhail SC, on the other hand, has been busy securing their squad for the new season. They recently announced the signing of Qatar defender Homam Al Amin from Al Gharafa Club in a swap deal. In return, Al Gharafa acquired Al Duhail trio of Mohamed Muntari, Rabeh Yahya, and Asim Madibo. This deal was made as part of the cooperation and relations between the two clubs.

Al Duhail has also made other signings this summer, including Spaniard Luis Alberto from Lazio and goalkeeper Amir Hassan from Al Arabi Club on loan for one season. The team, which finished sixth in the Qatar Stars League standings last season, will face Qatar SC at the Khalifa International Stadium in their opening match on August 10.

Al Gharafa Club has also been active in the transfer market, signing Florinel Coman from Romania, Spaniard Joselu from Real Madrid, and Palestinian Jamal Hamed. Additionally, the club renewed its contract with South Korean defender Jang Hyun-soo for three seasons. Qatar SC has also made moves by signing Abdulaziz Al Ansari from Al Arabi, who will join the team’s training camp in Spain.

In other news, Al Rayyan SC announced the departure of Japanese defender Shogo Taniguchi. The player’s contract was mutually terminated, allowing him to leave the club. Taniguchi had joined Al Rayyan in the winter transfer window from Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale. The team has since signed Swedish coach Poya Asbaghi, who replaced Portuguese Leonardo Jardim.

The football scene in Qatar is buzzing with transfer activity and preparations for the upcoming season. Teams like Al Sadd, Al Duhail, Al Gharafa, and Qatar SC are all gearing up to compete in the Ooredoo Stars League. With new signings, training camps, and friendly matches lined up, fans can expect an exciting season ahead. Stay tuned for more updates as the teams continue to fine-tune their squads for the challenges that lie ahead.
