The Aspire Academy Global Summit’s 10th annual edition has commenced in Doha, Qatar, at the Regency Sealine Camp, with Ajax coach Francesco Farioli addressing the opening session. The two-day summit brings together 50 sporting bodies to share insights on performance, science, and the future of the game. The event features masterclasses, star chats, workshops, and round table discussions for the delegates.

The summit was officially opened by Aspire Academy’s Director General Ivan Bravo, with welcoming remarks from Professor Valter Di Salvo, the Executive Director of the Aspire Academy Global Summit. The event aims to highlight the advantages of Aspire Academy in developing players over several years, leading to success as witnessed by Qatar’s back-to-back AFC Asian Cup wins. The summit focuses on education, creativity, continuity, and connection to push boundaries and inspire collaboration.

Farioli, a former Aspire coach, returned to Qatar to share his experience and insights on teamwork. He reflected on his time at Aspire Academy, where he learned to organize his ideas and witnessed players he coached represent the national team. French coach Rudi Garcia and Al Duhail boss Christophe Galtier also shared their experiences and challenges in coaching and player development. Garcia emphasized the importance of protecting players from playing too many games, while Galtier praised Aspire Academy for its development of young players.

The afternoon session included workshops on the evolution of football performance and science, changes in technical-tactical aspects, and the future of football performance. The delegates discussed these topics and presented their findings in a round table discussion. The summit continues with a Star Chat from legendary Argentina striker Gabriel Batistuta. The event provides a unique platform for collaboration and innovation, inspiring advancements in the sport’s growth.
