Air Arabia has resumed flights to Basra in Iraq from Sharjah International Airport. The route will have four weekly flights between Sharjah and Basra, making it the fourth direct route to Iraq from Sharjah for Air Arabia. Upon arrival at Basra International Airport, the Air Arabia aircraft received a traditional water cannon salute and a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from Air Arabia and Basra International Airport.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, highlighted the significance of the flights to Basra in providing affordable travel options within the region. The service aims to connect both cities directly, offering value-driven products and services while strengthening travel and trade ties between the two countries. Customers can easily book their direct flights between Sharjah and Basra through Air Arabia’s website, call center, or travel agencies.
