After being sidelined for a year due to a cruciate ligament injury, Brazilian star Neymar Jr. is set to make his comeback with the Al Hilal squad in their upcoming match against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League. Coach Jorge Jesus has decided to include Neymar in the squad after the player completed his rehabilitation program and actively participated in team training. Neymar’s injury occurred while playing for the Brazilian national team against Uruguay during the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Despite the long absence, Neymar is now back in action and ready to make an impact on the pitch.

However, Al Hilal will be missing Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou for the match against Al Ain due to a hamstring strain. Bounou is currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation to recover from his injury. In his absence, goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais will be available for selection after nearing the completion of his own rehabilitation program. The team is focused on preparing for the tough match against Al Ain, with a training session scheduled at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium before the game on Monday. The Al Hilal delegation has already departed for the UAE, eager to showcase their skills against the Asian champions.

The return of Neymar to the Al Hilal squad adds an extra dimension to their attacking options, with the Brazilian star known for his skill and creativity on the pitch. Despite the severity of his injury and the long road to recovery, Neymar’s inclusion in the squad is a testament to his dedication and hard work during the rehabilitation process. Fans of Al Hilal will be eagerly anticipating Neymar’s performance in the upcoming match, hoping that he can make a significant impact on the team’s performance.

The absence of Yassine Bounou due to injury will be a blow to the Al Hilal defense, as the Moroccan goalkeeper has been a key player for the team. However, with Mohammed Al-Owais nearing the completion of his rehabilitation program, there is hope that the team will have a reliable replacement in goal. Al Hilal will need to be at their best defensively against a strong Al Ain team, and the coaching staff will be working hard to ensure that the team is well-prepared for the match.

The Al Hilal delegation’s departure for the UAE signals the team’s focus and determination ahead of the match against Al Ain. The final training session at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium will be crucial in fine-tuning the team’s tactics and strategy for the game. With the anticipation building for the clash against the Asian champions, Al Hilal will be looking to put on a strong performance and secure a positive result. The return of Neymar, coupled with the team’s preparation and determination, sets the stage for an exciting and competitive match between two top teams in the AFC Champions League.

Overall, the inclusion of Neymar Jr. in the Al Hilal squad for the match against Al Ain adds a new dynamic to the team and demonstrates the player’s commitment to returning to action after a long injury layoff. Despite the absence of Yassine Bounou, the team is ready to face the challenge against Al Ain with Mohammed Al-Owais ready to step up in goal. With the team’s departure for the UAE and final preparations underway, all eyes will be on the highly anticipated match on Monday as Al Hilal looks to make a statement in the AFC Champions League.
