The Doha Forum: Youth Edition will convene in Qatar from December 3-4, 2025, bringing together over 150 emerging leaders from more than 100 countries to discuss pressing global issues. Hosted at Education City’s Multaqa building, the forum aims to empower young people and integrate their perspectives into international policymaking. This year’s event, organized by QatarDebate Center and the Doha Forum, focuses on the theme of “Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress.”

The Youth Edition will run concurrently with the main Doha Forum, a prominent platform for global dialogue. Participants will include 110 international attendees and 40 representatives from Qatar, according to organizers. The Ministry of Sports and Youth and Media City Qatar are serving as strategic partners for the event.

Empowering Youth Through Dialogue and Skill-Building

The Doha Forum: Youth Edition represents a growing international emphasis on including young voices in discussions about the future. Traditionally, global forums have been dominated by established political and economic figures, but there’s increasing recognition that younger generations will be most affected by current challenges. This forum specifically seeks to address that imbalance.

Reem Al Musallam, Director of Communications at QatarDebate, highlighted the center’s commitment to fostering constructive dialogue. She stated the event is designed to provide young people with the skills to articulate their ideas and contribute meaningfully to solutions. The program will feature intensive training sessions covering negotiation, conflict resolution, policy impact assessment, and effective dialogue techniques.

Focus on Actionable Recommendations

A key component of the Youth Edition is its focus on generating concrete recommendations. Participants will engage in three roundtables dedicated to developing actionable strategies related to the overarching theme of “Justice in Action.” These recommendations will then be presented to attendees of the main Doha Forum, potentially influencing broader policy discussions.

The agenda also includes keynote speeches from prominent global figures and sessions led by young experts in various fields. This blend of experience and emerging leadership aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of complex global issues, such as climate change, economic inequality, and political instability. The organizers emphasize a commitment to a holistic approach, connecting academic insights with practical application.

Beyond the formal program, the forum will incorporate culturally immersive experiences. Participants will tour Education City, explore the Qatari desert, and participate in a cultural exchange evening designed to promote understanding and build relationships among attendees from diverse backgrounds. These activities are intended to foster a sense of global community and shared responsibility.

Adding to the experience, the Ministry of Sports and Youth will provide tickets for participants to attend a match during the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. This recreational element aims to showcase Qatari culture and provide a networking opportunity in a relaxed setting. Youth engagement is a central tenet of the event.

The Doha Forum itself has evolved over the years, initially focusing on regional security issues before expanding its scope to encompass a wider range of global challenges. The addition of the Youth Edition reflects a deliberate effort to broaden participation and ensure that future leaders have a seat at the table. Global policymaking increasingly requires intergenerational collaboration.

Following the forum, the recommendations generated by the youth participants will be compiled and disseminated to relevant stakeholders. The impact of these recommendations on the broader Doha Forum discussions and subsequent policy decisions remains to be seen. Observers will be watching to see how effectively the youth perspectives are integrated into the main forum’s outcomes and whether this model of youth leadership development will be replicated in other international settings. The success of the event will likely be measured by the tangible progress made towards addressing the challenges outlined in the “Justice in Action” theme.

The next step involves finalizing the participant list and logistical arrangements for the December event. The organizers are expected to release a detailed report summarizing the forum’s key findings and recommendations in early 2026.
