The selection of Juha, often referred to as “the common man’s philosopher,” aims to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Arab world alongside the sporting event. The LOC believes the mascot will resonate with fans across the region, fostering a sense of unity and shared identity. The tournament will be held across several of Qatar’s state-of-the-art stadiums, including Al Bayt, Lusail, Ahmad Bin Ali, Education City, Khalifa International, and Stadium 974.

Understanding the FIFA Arab Cup Mascot: Juha

Juha is a legendary figure in Arab storytelling, known for his humorous anecdotes and unexpected wisdom. He is typically portrayed as a simple, somewhat naive individual whose misadventures often reveal deeper truths about life and society. According to cultural historians, Juha’s stories have been passed down through generations, varying in detail but consistently embodying a spirit of playful intelligence.

The LOC chose Juha to represent the tournament’s spirit of inclusivity and cultural pride. The mascot is intended to be a relatable figure for fans of all ages, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and perspectives within the Arab world. This approach differs from some international sporting events that opt for more conventional animal or superhero mascots.

Tournament Details and Qualification

Nine teams have already secured automatic qualification for the Arab Cup based on FIFA rankings. The remaining seven spots will be determined through a qualifying tournament held in Qatar from November 25-26. This qualifying stage will provide an early glimpse of the competition and build anticipation for the main event.

The opening match on December 1 will feature hosts Qatar against the winner of the Palestine versus Libya qualifier. The final match is scheduled for December 18 at the iconic Lusail Stadium, which also hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final. The LOC anticipates a strong turnout from across the Arab region, with a focus on creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

Ticket Information and Accessibility

Tickets for the Qatar 2025 tournament are available for purchase online at www.roadtoqatar.qa. Fans can also opt for “Follow My Team” tickets, granting access to all group stage matches for their chosen national team. Prices begin at QR25, making the event accessible to a wide range of supporters.

All tickets will be digital, and the LOC is committed to providing accessible seating options for disabled fans. Individuals requiring accessible seating are encouraged to contact the LOC via email at [email protected] to make arrangements. This commitment to inclusivity extends to all aspects of the tournament’s planning and execution. The LOC is also planning a range of entertainment and cultural activities to complement the football matches, enhancing the overall fan experience.

Looking ahead, the focus will be on finalizing preparations for the qualifying matches and ensuring a smooth ticketing process. The LOC will also continue to promote the tournament and its cultural elements to attract a broad audience. The success of the football tournament will depend on logistical efficiency and the ability to create a memorable experience for both players and fans. Further details regarding the entertainment program and specific cultural events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
