Qatar Airways is boosting Qatar Airways flights to key global destinations – Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Shanghai, and Singapore – this winter season to accommodate rising passenger demand. The airline will add nearly 3,000 flights this year, enhancing connectivity through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport. These increases, effective between December 2025 and January 2026, aim to provide travelers with greater choice and convenience on these popular routes.
Expanded Qatar Airways Flight Schedules for Winter 2025
The expansion reflects a continued surge in international travel, particularly to and from Asia and Africa. According to the airline, the increased capacity is a direct response to growing demand for its services and the overall travel experience. Qatar Airways was recently named the World’s Best Airline for a record ninth time by Skytrax in 2025, solidifying its position as a leading global carrier.
Kuala Lumpur (KUL) Service Increase
Starting December 17, 2025, Qatar Airways will increase its service to Kuala Lumpur from 14 to 17 weekly flights. This expansion will provide more seamless connections for passengers traveling between Southeast Asia and major European and Middle Eastern cities like Jeddah, London, and Paris. The additional flights are expected to support both leisure and business travel to the region.
Enhanced Connectivity to Lagos (LOS)
From December 15, 2025, through March 28, 2026, Qatar Airways will increase its weekly flights to Lagos, Nigeria, from 10 to 14. This boost in frequency aims to improve connectivity between Nigeria and Qatar Airways’ extensive network of over 170 destinations. Passengers will benefit from easier access to cities such as Delhi, Guangzhou, and London.
Growing Demand for Shanghai (PVG)
Responding to increasing inbound and outbound travel to China, Qatar Airways will increase its Shanghai service from 7 to 10 weekly flights between January 1 and March 28, 2026. This expansion will further strengthen connections between Asia and key destinations across Qatar Airways’ network, including Algiers, São Paulo, and Warsaw. The airline anticipates continued growth in travel to and from China.
Singapore (SIN) to Receive A380 Service
Beginning January 12, 2026, Qatar Airways will deploy its Airbus A380 aircraft on select flights to Singapore. This upgrade will offer passengers an enhanced travel experience, particularly in premium cabins, and increase overall capacity on the route. The A380 is known for its spaciousness and luxurious amenities.
Additionally, Qatar Airways continues to invest in its fleet and passenger experience. The airline is the first globally to fully equip over 100 widebody aircraft with Starlink, providing ultra-high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi. This technology enhances connectivity for passengers throughout their journey, supporting both work and entertainment. Starlink is becoming increasingly important for long-haul flights.
The airline’s winter schedule enhancements are part of a broader trend of capacity increases across its network. Other destinations receiving additional frequencies include Cape Town, Dublin, London, Phuket, and Toronto. These adjustments demonstrate Qatar Airways’ commitment to meeting evolving travel demands and providing passengers with more options.
Looking ahead, Qatar Airways will continue to monitor travel patterns and adjust its schedules accordingly. The airline is expected to announce further route expansions and fleet upgrades in the coming months. The ongoing geopolitical situation and global economic conditions will likely influence future decisions regarding Qatar Airways flights and network development. The airline’s performance in the first quarter of 2026 will be a key indicator of future growth strategies.
