Landmark Arabia has unveiled new flagship stores for Centrepoint and Max at U Walk Riyadh, signaling a significant investment in the Saudi retail sector. The openings showcase modern store designs and enhanced digital experiences aimed at transforming the shopping journey for Saudi families. This move strengthens Landmark Arabia’s position as a leading retail and lifestyle organization in the Kingdom, with plans for substantial expansion over the next few years.
The new stores, spanning over 48,000 square feet combined, represent a commitment to evolving the in-store experience to meet changing consumer preferences. Landmark Arabia, a division of the Landmark Group, has been operating in Saudi Arabia for over three decades and currently employs more than 9,700 people nationwide. The company is prioritizing nationalization, with over 50% of its workforce being Saudi nationals, and a strong focus on female empowerment.
Elevating the Shopping Experience with New Store Concepts
The redesigned Centrepoint store features a fully open floor plan, wider aisles, and clearly defined zones for its various brands – Splash, Babyshop, Lifestyle, and Shoemart. This aims to improve navigation and product discovery for shoppers. Additionally, the store incorporates curated, trend-led collections displayed in a gallery-like format, offering a more visually appealing and engaging shopping environment.
Enhanced fitting lounges with improved lighting and service assistance are also key features of the new design. Landmark Arabia is integrating technology throughout the customer journey, including dynamic digital screens, elevated product showcases, and faster digital payment options. Omnichannel features, such as real-time stock visibility and click-and-collect, further enhance convenience.
Max’s Expansion and Modernization
Alongside Centrepoint, Max has launched a new store at U Walk Riyadh, reflecting the brand’s modernized design identity. The 16,000+ square foot space boasts a clean, open layout and trend-focused displays. The integration of RFID technology enables seamless self-checkout and supports the click-and-collect service for online customers, streamlining the shopping process.
Currently operating 128 stores across more than 50 Saudi cities, Max is a leading value fashion brand in the region. This new location expands Landmark Arabia’s multi-brand presence in Riyadh, offering customers a wider range of choices in fashion and lifestyle products.
According to TS Vedapuri, Chief Country Officer for Landmark Arabia, these openings represent the future of retail in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to the Kingdom and its confidence in the dynamic Saudi market. The company views U Walk as a key destination to showcase its innovative store formats.
Landmark Arabia’s commitment extends beyond business to include its workforce. The organization actively fosters a culture of growth and development, evidenced by its numerous long-term employees and recognition for nationalization initiatives. The company has received awards from Brandon Hall Group and CIPD ME, highlighting its dedication to Saudi talent.
Looking ahead, Landmark Arabia plans to open 17 new Centrepoint stores, renovate 8 existing locations, and relocate 2 over the next three years. Max is slated for 24 new store openings, alongside 12 relocations and 8 renovations. These expansions demonstrate a continued investment in accessibility and customer value within the Saudi consumer landscape.
Visitors to the new Centrepoint store can take advantage of a launch promotion: a SR150 gift card with a SR300 purchase, valid from November 19–22, 2025. The success of these new formats will likely influence future store designs and expansion strategies across the Kingdom.
The company’s future performance will depend on factors such as continued economic growth in Saudi Arabia, evolving consumer preferences, and the successful integration of new technologies. Monitoring the impact of Vision 2030 on the retail sector and Landmark Arabia’s ability to adapt to these changes will be crucial in the coming years.
