Red Sea Global (RSG) has officially opened AMAALA Triple Bay during the 2025 TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, confirming that the destination will begin welcoming visitors by January 2026, according to RSG CEO John Pagano. The luxury destination is expected to be a significant contributor to Saudi Arabia’s economy.

Pagano reaffirmed the announcement in a statement, revealing that the first six of 31 resorts will open in the coming months, alongside the AMAALA Yacht Club and Corallium marine life institute. Upon completion, AMAALA is anticipated to create up to 50,000 jobs and contribute SR11 billion ($3 billion) to Saudi Arabia’s GDP.

AMAALA’s Luxury Offerings

The first properties to open at Triple Bay include several high-end resorts, featuring a range of luxurious amenities. These resorts are designed to provide a unique experience for guests, with a focus on wellness and sustainability.

For instance, the Equinox Resort and Residences, AMAALA, will offer 128 rooms and suites, a subterranean spa grotto, and five dining venues. Meanwhile, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences, AMAALA, will feature 202 rooms, six dining outlets, and a Kids For All Seasons program.

Resorts and Amenities

Other notable resorts set to open at AMAALA include the Nammos Resort and Residences, Rosewood Resort, and Six Senses. These properties will offer a range of exclusive amenities, including private pools, spas, and dining options.

The AMAALA Yacht Club will also be a key attraction, hosting a sailing academy and events such as the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race in 2027. Additionally, the Corallium marine life institute will provide immersive exhibits focused on Red Sea ecosystems.

Driving Tourism and Economic Growth through AMAALA Development

RSG’s development of AMAALA is part of a broader effort to drive tourism and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. The destination is designed to offer a unique and sustainable tourism experience, with a focus on wellness and luxury.

According to Pagano, AMAALA offers a new coastal lifestyle rooted in wellness, where guests and residents can discover what it means to live longer and better. The destination is expected to attract visitors from around the world, contributing to the growth of Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry.

As the development of AMAALA continues, the next expected step is the opening of the first six resorts in the coming months. The progress of these developments and the overall impact on Saudi Arabia’s economy and tourism industry will be worth watching in the months to come.
