The Ministry of Information is set to launch a comprehensive media campaign on Tuesday to promote the Khareef Dhofar season 2025, highlighting the tourism, cultural, natural, and heritage attractions of Dhofar Governorate. This campaign is part of a broader strategy to showcase the region’s unique offerings during the monsoon season, which attracts visitors from across the globe.

## Media Programs and Coverage

The Ministry’s plan, which runs until August 31, includes producing and broadcasting a range of visual, audio, and digital programs with interactive content and live field coverage. This will ensure wide outreach both locally and internationally, catering to diverse audiences interested in the Khareef Dhofar season.

### Television Programs

Oman TV will kick off its coverage with the program “People and Khareef,” which returns this year with a refreshed and more in-depth format. The daily show, airing from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, will feature diverse locations showcasing Dhofar’s landscapes and tourism activities. The program will have participation from Omani and GCC media professionals as well as Arab journalists, providing a rich and varied perspective on the region. This will not only highlight the natural beauty of Dhofar but also its cultural and tourism significance during the Khareef Dhofar season.

## Evening and Radio Programs

The evening program “Khareef Nights” will broadcast live from the “Return of the Past” event site in Al Sa’ada, Salalah, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Oman General and Oman Cultural channels. This program will cover heritage, cultural, and artistic activities, offering viewers a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of Dhofar. Oman Radio will air “Khareef’s Radio Programme,” codenamed “Atheer,” daily from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM from the same location. The program will feature studio interviews, AI-powered segments on Dhofar, and live video content shared via the Ministry’s and radio’s platforms, enhancing the overall coverage of the Khareef Dhofar season.

### Youth Engagement

Youth Radio will broadcast “Khareef and Youth” from Jebel Ateen studio from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM daily. This program will focus on artistic, cultural, and social themes tailored for young audiences, ensuring that the younger demographic remains engaged with the festivities and aware of the Khareef Dhofar season’s attractions.

## Digital and Print Coverage

Oman News Agency (ONA) has commenced its coverage with news reports, features, photos, and videos across digital platforms, social media, and smart apps, as well as radio/TV bulletins. This comprehensive coverage highlights tourism assets and socio-cultural interactions, providing a broad view of the activities and attractions during the Khareef Dhofar season. Oman newspaper continues its coverage, having started on June 21, through print and digital reports and social media, offering rich content on the festivities and further enriching the narrative around the Khareef Dhofar season.

### Enhancing Engagement

The Ministry of Information’s General Directorate of Digital Media is enhancing engagement through interactive competitions, drone-captured scenic vignettes, and multilingual visitor interviews. These initiatives are designed to captivate a wide audience and provide an immersive experience of the Khareef Dhofar season.

## Digital Platforms

The “Ayn” platform will provide live coverage from Oman Radio and TV for all programs and activities related to the Khareef Dhofar season. Additionally, “Ayn” has launched a children’s program promoting Dhofar as a family-friendly destination through edutainment content. This move is expected to attract families and younger visitors to the region during the Khareef Dhofar season.

### Global Outreach

Oman’s Information Portal, available in eight languages, features dedicated Khareef content to amplify Oman’s global digital presence. The portal is one of the Ministry of Information’s most prominent platforms and plays a crucial role in reaching an international audience interested in the Khareef Dhofar season. By offering content in multiple languages, the portal ensures that the attractions and activities of Dhofar are accessible to a global audience.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Information’s comprehensive plan to promote the Khareef Dhofar season 2025 is a multifaceted effort that leverages various media channels and digital platforms. Through a mix of television, radio, and digital content, the campaign aims to showcase the unique attractions of Dhofar Governorate, ensuring a memorable experience for visitors and locals alike during the Khareef Dhofar season. As the campaign unfolds, it is expected to significantly enhance the region’s tourism and cultural landscape, making the Khareef Dhofar season an event to look forward to.
