Qatar is gearing up to face Uzbekistan in a crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match. With only four points from four matches, Qatar is six points behind Group A leaders Iran and Uzbekistan. Coach Marquez Lopez is feeling the pressure, as Qatar must earn points in every remaining fixture, starting with the game against Uzbekistan at Doha’s Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. While Qatar has never qualified for the World Cup, Lopez is confident his team can bounce back, even though Uzbekistan has been in impressive form.

Qatar’s defense has been struggling due to injuries, with Pedro Miguel sidelined and the team conceding 10 goals in four matches. Despite this, Lopez is focused on winning and securing maximum points. The return of forward Mohammed Muntari from injury is expected to boost Qatar’s attack alongside Almoez Ali and Akram Afif. Midfielder Mohammed Waad is confident in the team’s preparation and is counting on the support of home fans for a successful match.

On the other hand, Uzbekistan is on track for a historic achievement as they pursue their first-ever World Cup berth. With the expanded 2026 World Cup featuring 48 teams, Uzbekistan is well-positioned to make history. Assistant coach Vlado Radmanovich emphasizes the importance of precision in the match and believes that small details can make a significant difference. Center-back Umar Eshmurodov expressed his pride and determination, stating that qualifying for the World Cup would be the greatest achievement in Uzbekistan’s history. The match is set to begin at 7:15 pm.

In conclusion, both Qatar and Uzbekistan are determined to secure a victory in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match. Qatar faces a critical moment in their campaign, needing to earn points in every remaining fixture to keep their hopes alive. Uzbekistan, on the other hand, is aiming to make history by securing their first-ever World Cup berth. With both teams well-prepared and determined to succeed, the match promises to be an exciting and intense encounter for fans and players alike.
