The Kingdom now holds the top spot in the Gulf and Arab world and has risen to 14th place among the G20 countries, up from 18th place in 2022. Saudi Arabia is among the top seven G20 countries that have shown the highest progress in the fifth axis, achieving a score of 95% in 2023. This progress has enabled the Kingdom to generate accurate, comprehensive, and high-quality statistical data that are crucial for decision-makers and policymakers in shaping sustainable plans across various sectors.

The improved ranking of Saudi Arabia in the SPI assessment highlights the country’s dedication to enhancing its statistical capabilities and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data. This progress is essential for supporting evidence-based decision-making and formulating effective policies for the country’s development. By investing in its statistical infrastructure and systems, Saudi Arabia has demonstrated its commitment to meeting international standards and best practices in data collection and analysis.

The Kingdom’s advancement in the World Bank’s SPI evaluation underscores its leadership role in the region and among G20 countries in statistical performance. The ability to produce reliable and high-quality statistical data is crucial for monitoring progress, evaluating policies, and identifying areas for improvement. Saudi Arabia’s progress in this area signifies its readiness to adapt to the evolving demands of the global economy and address emerging challenges through data-driven insights and decision-making.

The consistent improvement in Saudi Arabia’s SPI ranking reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen its statistical capabilities and enhance data collection processes. By focusing on accuracy, reliability, and relevance, the Kingdom is better equipped to support evidence-based policy formulation and strategic planning. The availability of high-quality statistical data enables Saudi Arabia to assess the impact of policies, measure performance, and identify opportunities for growth and development across various sectors.

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia’s rise in the World Bank’s National Statistical Organizations Performance Index is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its statistical systems and data quality. The progress made in the SPI evaluation underscores Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the region and among G20 countries in statistical performance.
