Al Ittihad’s recent victory over Al Orobah in the Saudi Pro League helped them secure the top spot temporarily. The match saw goals from Saleh Al Shehri and Steven Bergwijn, lifting Al Ittihad to 27 points. Al Orobah, on the other hand, came close to scoring early in the game, but their efforts were thwarted by Al Ittihad’s defense. Despite missing their captain Karim Benzema due to an injury, Al Ittihad managed to regain control and dominate the game, with players like Moussa Diaby and Muhannad Al Shanqiti working hard to create scoring opportunities.

The first goal of the match came in the 25th minute when Al Shehri converted a cross from Al Shanqiti with a header, giving Al Ittihad the lead. In the second half, Al Shehri won a penalty which was successfully converted by Bergwijn in the 52nd minute, extending Al Ittihad’s lead further. Although Diaby scored another goal, it was ruled out for offside. Despite this setback, Al Ittihad was able to maintain their dominance and secure a comfortable victory over Al Orobah, moving them to the top of the league standings.

With this win, Al Ittihad now has 27 points, placing them temporarily at the top of the Saudi Pro League. The team’s performance in the match showcased their strength and determination, even in the absence of key players like Benzema. Al Ittihad’s ability to control the game and create scoring opportunities proved crucial in securing the victory over Al Orobah. On the other hand, Al Orobah’s points remain at 10, keeping them in 12th place in the league standings.

Despite a strong start by Al Orobah, it was Al Ittihad who emerged victorious in the match, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the field. The goals from Al Shehri and Bergwijn were instrumental in securing the win for Al Ittihad, who now sit at the top of the league standings. The team’s performance in this match sets a promising tone for their future games in the Saudi Pro League, as they aim to maintain their position at the top and continue their winning streak. Overall, the victory over Al Orobah was a testament to Al Ittihad’s determination and ability to compete at the highest level in the league.
