MP Hamad Al Doy has put forth a proposal to repurpose the currently vacant Omar Ibn Al Khattab Intermediate Boys’ School in Muharraq’s Building 203 into a dedicated religious institute for boys. The proposal aims to address a lack of religious facilities in the area and leverage the vacant school building for a cause that aligns with national objectives.

The initiative envisages the establishment of a religious institute under the Ministry of Education, offering a moderate curriculum designed to instill strong religious values among young people. The aim is to promote Bahrain’s identity and Islamic values, fostering loyalty, tolerance, moderation, and an understanding of Islamic principles among the youth.

MP Al Doy emphasizes the significance of the proposed institute in promoting traditional Bahraini values and national identity. According to him, the institute would play a crucial role in strengthening the cultural fabric of Bahraini society by instilling essential principles that contribute to responsible and ethically grounded individuals.

The proposal also underscores the importance of addressing the intellectual and moral challenges facing today’s youth. By providing a platform for religious education, the institute could contribute significantly to molding individuals who are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of modern society.

Referring to royal directives on identity preservation, MP Al Doy’s proposal seeks to align with broader initiatives aimed at safeguarding and reinforcing Bahraini and Islamic identity. The proposal has been submitted for review, with a request for inclusion in the agenda for further discussion and potential implementation.

In conclusion, MP Hamad Al Doy’s proposal to repurpose the Omar Ibn Al Khattab Intermediate Boys’ School into a religious institute for boys is a strategic move aimed at promoting Bahraini identity, Islamic values, and cultural preservation. By leveraging the vacant school building for such a cause, the initiative seeks to address youth challenges and contribute to the holistic development of responsible individuals grounded in ethical values. As the proposal undergoes review and consideration, it stands as a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing a strong national identity and fostering a sense of cultural belonging among its youth.
