The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority in Doha is currently hosting the 23rd meeting of the Committee of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting, which will take place from today until November 6, 2024, is chaired by H E Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi, Director General of the Authority. The agenda includes discussions on various topics such as the committee’s action plan, statistical indicators for implementing the unified system for extending insurance protection, governance of technical committees, periodic seminars, and the Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Funds Award for Scientific Research. Member states and the General Secretariat will also submit proposals for review during the meeting.
The Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies in the GCC countries will start its work on November 4 and 5, 2024. Members will gather to discuss the development of retirement policies and mechanisms for unified social insurance systems.
