The upcoming election in America on 5 November is being closely monitored, as the country is experiencing a highly polarised political climate. Radio Schuman recently spoke with German Green MEP Daniel Freund, who was in Pennsylvania, a critical state where Joe Biden narrowly defeated Trump by just 1.2% in 2020. The race between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican opponent Donald Trump is very tight, keeping Brussels and Europe on edge. The election is pivotal, with global repercussions, and Europeans are paying close attention to the key battleground states where the outcome is likely to be decided – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

As Americans head to the polls, millions of Europeans will be holding their breath tomorrow in anticipation of the election results. The race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is razor-thin, with the outcome holding significant importance for the global community. The seven key battleground states will play a crucial role in determining the winner, and Europeans will be closely monitoring the results in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The tension is high as the world awaits the outcome of this pivotal election.

The final segment of the show provides an overview of the European Commissioner-designates hearings, detailing which individuals will be heard by MEPs. This aspect of the program sheds light on the political processes taking place within the European Union, showcasing the importance of transparency and accountability in governance. As Europe navigates its own political landscape, the results of the American election will undoubtedly have an impact on EU policies and decisions moving forward.

In addition to the political coverage, Radio Schuman also delves into a more economic aspect, exploring which EU countries are seeing the highest number of businesses being launched. Interestingly, a small country leads the ranking, highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit that exists within certain European nations. This segment offers a well-rounded view of both the political and economic landscapes within Europe, providing listeners with a comprehensive understanding of current events and developments.

Radio Schuman is an informative and engaging program hosted and produced by Maïa de la Baume, with contributions from journalist and production assistant Eleonora Vasques. The show is further enhanced by the audio editing of Zacharia Vigneron and Georgios Leivaditis, as well as the music by Alexandre Jas. By covering a range of topics, from politics to economics, Radio Schuman offers listeners a holistic view of current affairs in Europe and abroad. With its timely coverage of the American election and insightful discussions on EU politics and business, Radio Schuman remains a valuable resource for those seeking to stay informed on global events.
