The Ministry of Justice’s Center for Legal and Judicial Studies (LJSC) in Qatar recently celebrated the graduation of the 21st mandatory training course for new lawyers and the 14th mandatory training course for trainee lawyers. A total of 118 legal professionals, including 22 trainee lawyers, completed their specialized courses for the year 2024 at the LJSC. During the ceremony, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi presented certificates to the graduates, encouraging them to pursue successful professional careers. The Minister emphasized the importance of the new batch in enhancing the Qatari legal cadres to meet the needs of the state, the Third National Development Strategy requirements, and the goals of the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Minister Al Mohannadi highlighted the Ministry of Justice’s commitment to providing various national institutions and the government sector with qualified professionals who can uphold the rule of law and demonstrate excellence in their performance. He expressed the Ministry’s dedication to offering quality legal training and qualification programs to individuals in different legal fields and specializations. The Minister indicated that the LJSC has created an appropriate training environment to support the country’s legislative renaissance, and efforts are underway to enhance training programs to elevate the Qatari legal cadre. Additionally, the LJSC Director Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Khaldi congratulated the graduates and announced plans to enhance training programs according to the latest systems and successful experiences in the legal field.
Dr. Al Khaldi mentioned that the LJSC would incorporate new technologies such as digital transformation programs and artificial intelligence to support the legal sector’s advancement. The institution will also strengthen national partnerships to meet the training needs of various governmental and semi-governmental institutions in the country. Furthermore, the LJSC is focused on reviewing training programs to ensure quality and creating specialized programs in governmental and semi-governmental sectors to achieve the Ministry of Justice’s strategic goals. Trainee lawyers valedictorian Sheikh Tamim bin Mohammed Al Thani expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Justice and the LJSC for the valuable experience, knowledge, and values of integrity and commitment acquired during the training. He emphasized that these values would enable the trainees to contribute effectively to the growth and prosperity of society, achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, and uphold justice and noble values in the future.
