Police Academy recognizes CEO of Hour and Hour Programme

The Police Academy in Doha, Qatar recently honored Tamani Al Yafei, CEO of the Hour and Hour Programme, for her efforts in raising community awareness and her cooperation with the Institute. The Women’s Police Institute at the Police Academy recognized her contributions towards achieving the goals of the Institute. The honor was bestowed following the graduation of the INTERPOL Senior Leadership Course (Women in Law Enforcement) and INTERPOL Trainer Capacity Development Courses, organized by the Institute in collaboration with the Arab and International Police Communications Department at the Ministry of Interior and the INTERPOL Global Academy Network.

During the event, Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal honored Tamani Al Yafei. The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the Police Academy Lieutenant Colonel Fahad Saeed Al Subaie, Director of the Police College, and female police officers from various military ranks. Al Yafei expressed her appreciation for the efforts of Lieutenant Colonel Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi, Director of the Women’s Police Institute, in supporting community events, raising public awareness, and enhancing the Institute’s engagement with the public through various initiatives, segments, lectures, and seminars.

In her acceptance speech, Al Yafei thanked Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, Brigadier Abdulrahman Majid Al Shaheen Al Sulaiti, Head of the Police Academy, and Lieutenant Colonel Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi, Director of the Women’s Police Institute. She highlighted the importance of collaboration between organizations like the Hour and Hour Programme and the Police Academy in Qatar to raise awareness, promote community engagement, and support law enforcement efforts. The recognition bestowed upon Al Yafei reflects the appreciation for her dedication and contribution to the Institute’s mission and goals.

The event celebrated the successful completion of the INTERPOL courses, which aimed to enhance the leadership skills of women in law enforcement and develop the trainer capacity of participants. The collaboration between the Women’s Police Institute and INTERPOL Global Academy Network underlines the commitment to advancing professional development opportunities for law enforcement officers.
