Bahrain’s national jiu-jitsu team recently participated in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship for Masters, Adults, and Youth held in Heraklion, Greece. The team showcased their talent against over 700 athletes from 58 countries, ultimately earning five medals in various categories. The competition was intense, and Bahrain’s impressive performance put them on the map as a force to be reckoned with in the jiu-jitsu world.
In the Masters division, Bahrain’s veterans took the lead, with Bader Al-Dosari and Najad Al-Qassabi both claiming medals. Al-Dosari secured a silver medal in the under-77kg Masters 2 category, while Al-Qassabi earned a bronze in the under-85kg Masters 2 category. Their victories demonstrated Bahrain’s strength among experienced athletes and set the tone for the rest of the team’s performance at the championship.
In the Adults’ No-Gi division, Ali Munfaredi stood out by winning Bahrain’s only gold medal in the under-77kg category.
