Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) recently announced the winners of the 6th FTA Prize 2024 during a ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco. The event, in partnership with the Years of Culture initiative within the Year of Culture Qatar – Morocco 2024 activities, saw the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani welcoming the attendees and expressing her commitment to supporting the next generation of fashion talents in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Among the winners of the FTA Prize 2024 are trio Noura Abdulaziz Al Saud, Sara Naif Al Saud, and Mashael Khalid Al Saud, as well as Nadine Mosallam, Yasmin Mansour, Reem Hamed, Sylwia Nazzal, and Batoul Al Rashdan, in addition to duo Xavi Garcia and Franx de Cristal. The event saw a total of 24 finalists showcasing their collections and competing in various categories in front of a prestigious audience that included both regional and international figures.
Yasmin Mansour from Qatar shared the importance of the FTA Prize in supporting talents in Qatar and the region, emphasizing her goal to represent the “Made in Qatar” initiative through her work. Finalist Jihane Boumediane from Morocco highlighted the significance of holding the FTA Prize within the Year of Culture Qatar – Morocco 2024, showcasing the strong relationship between the two countries and fostering cultural exchange.
Boumediane’s work aimed to introduce Moroccan culture and ways to preserve it for future generations. The winners of the FTA Prize 2024 will not only receive a cash prize ranging between USD 100,000 to 200,000 but also other benefits. This recognition serves as a platform for emerging fashion talents in the MENA region to showcase their creativity and contribute to the global fashion industry.
