Bahrain Reveals Strategic Vision for 2025-2029

In a recent announcement during the United Nations Day celebration, Bahrain unveiled its strategic vision for the years 2025-2029. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs emphasized that the country will focus on sustainable development, digital infrastructure, and enhanced diplomatic policies. This new vision is in line with Bahrain’s efforts to promote global cooperation and sustainable growth. The celebration, which took place at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, commemorated the entry into force of the United Nations Charter in 1945.

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah highlighted the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose vision has strengthened Bahrain’s partnership with the UN. He also praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for showcasing Bahrain’s leadership in governance at the UN General Summit. The country continues to advocate for global partnerships to ensure a secure and prosperous future. One of the upcoming initiatives, the HOPE Network led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will aim to foster international cooperation and youth development.

During the United Nations Day celebration, Khaled El Mekwad, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bahrain, emphasized the UN’s ongoing humanitarian efforts in conflict zones, such as Gaza. He stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire and highlighted the UN’s role in providing life-saving aid. Fernanda Maria Lonardoni, Head of Country Programme at UN-Habitat, also spoke about the promotion of diversity and inclusion by ensuring that every community is represented and supported. The upcoming HOPE Network event will further emphasize Bahrain’s commitment to global partnerships and sustainable initiatives.
