Ministerial Decision Issued to Establish Omani Hajj Mission for 1446 AH

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Muscat has recently issued a ministerial decision to form the Omani Hajj Mission for the year 1446 AH. This mission will be headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Rashdi, who is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. The decision also appoints Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Kaabi as the Deputy Head of the Mission for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Abdul Aziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri as the Deputy Head of the Mission for Hajj Affairs and Hajj Campaigns.

The formation of the Omani Hajj Mission is in accordance with various laws and regulations, including Royal Decree No. 6/99 which defines the competencies of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and approves its organizational structure. Additionally, the decision is based on the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree No. 120/2004 and its amendments, as well as the Executive Regulations of the Civil Service Law issued by Civil Service Council Decision No. 9/2010 and its amendments. Ministerial Resolution No. 236/2004 regarding the system for forming the Omani Hajj Mission and defining its competencies has also been taken into consideration.

The Omani Hajj Mission plays a crucial role in facilitating the pilgrimage experience for Omani citizens who are performing Hajj. This includes overseeing administrative and financial affairs, as well as coordinating Hajj campaigns and ensuring the smooth operation of the pilgrimage. With experienced leaders such as Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Rashdi, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Kaabi, and Abdul Aziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri at the helm, the Omani Hajj Mission is well-equipped to carry out its responsibilities effectively.
