The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara is set to host the final ceremony of the Al Bayariq competition for Nabati poetry and chanting on December 6, 2024. The event, organized in collaboration with Tebyan Media, aims to showcase the talents in Nabati poetry and chanting, providing a platform for Qatari, Gulf, and Arab youth to showcase their creativity and innovation, primarily on social media platforms like Snapchat.

A jury committee consisting of poets, chanters, and literature figures will evaluate the performance of participants throughout various stages of the competition. Initially, 200 contestants are selected to compete, with 100 from each category. From there, 50 participants in each category move on to the next stage, followed by 20 qualifiers from each category. The competition then narrows down to 10 participants in each category, with only 5 making it to the final stage.

Winners in each category are determined by a combination of jury evaluation and public voting. The first-place winners in each category will receive a cash prize of QR50,000 and the competition’s banner, while the second and third place winners will receive QR30,000 and QR20,000 respectively. This competition serves as a significant cultural and digital initiative in Qatar and the Arab region, showcasing the rich tradition of Nabati poetry and chanting while fostering competition and innovation among young talent.

The Al Bayariq competition provides a unique opportunity for the public to engage with and support emerging talents in the field of Nabati poetry and chanting. By leveraging social media platforms like Snapchat, the competition reaches a broader audience, enabling participants to showcase their skills on a global scale. The event not only promotes cultural heritage but also encourages young individuals to explore their creative potential and strive for excellence in their craft.

Through the rigorous selection process and multiple stages of competition, participants have the chance to refine their skills and receive valuable feedback from industry professionals. The journey from the preliminary rounds to the final stage is a challenging yet rewarding experience for all involved, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among contestants. The winners of the competition are celebrated for their dedication and talent, inspiring others to pursue their artistic passions and contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of Qatar and the Arab region.

As the second edition of the Al Bayariq competition draws to a close, the anticipation for the concluding ceremony on December 6, 2024, continues to build. The event promises to be a celebration of creativity, talent, and cultural heritage, honoring the winners and showcasing the best of Nabati poetry and chanting in the region. With cash prizes and recognition on the line, participants are sure to give it their all in the final stage, leaving a lasting impact on the cultural scene in Qatar and beyond.
