Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN) recently held its 3rd Pinay Pink Bowling for a Cause event at the Funland Center on 24th October 2024. The purpose of this annual charity bowling event is to raise funds to support Filipinos battling cancer. With the participation of 28 teams of bowlers and generous sponsors, the event was a success and demonstrated the power of collective action for a worthy cause.

Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis, the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed her gratitude towards the women’s organization for their efforts in organizing the charity project “Bowling for a Cause.” This initiative not only promotes community involvement through a fun and interactive bowling tournament but also sheds light on the significant challenges faced by cancer patients.

The opening ceremony of the event focused on the themes of friendship and fair play, with Celia V. Cabadonga, the Officer-In-Charge of the Migrant Worker Office (MWO), overseeing the administration of sportsmanship. Dinah Sta. Ana, the president of PIN, highlighted the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and commended the community for coming together to support a cause that impacts many lives.

Participants from various Filipino community organizations were excited to showcase their athletic talents and competitive spirit during the event. Onlookers cheered as they witnessed the camaraderie and passion displayed by the bowlers, further emphasizing the unity and support within the community.

The success of the 3rd Pinay Pink Bowling for a Cause event is a testament to the commitment and dedication of Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN) and its supporters. Through their collective efforts, they were able to raise funds and awareness for cancer patients in need, showcasing the impact of community-driven initiatives in making a difference.

Overall, the event was a reflection of the Filipino community’s resilience and compassion, coming together to support a cause close to their hearts. The success of the event will undoubtedly inspire future charitable endeavors and further strengthen the bonds within the community, highlighting the positive impact of collective action and unity in creating meaningful change.
