The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is gearing up for an exciting and diverse calendar of events in November 2024. The month kicks off with a performance by Cristina Branco, a renowned Fado singer from Portugal, known for her soulful and authentic music that strikes a chord with audiences. Following this, the annual military music festival will take place, featuring Oman’s military and police marching bands along with bands from Jordan and Austria, promising a captivating and dynamic show filled with international flair and collaboration.

Mid-November will see the return of Emirati superstar Ahlam Al Shamsi in a special open-air concert at the opera house, performing her most beloved songs. The month will culminate with two nights of jazz featuring Anthony Strong, a world-class artist performing classics from jazz legends like Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, as well as his own original compositions. Strong will be joined by the Latvian Radio Big Band, promising a night of unforgettable music that will surely leave a lasting impression on jazz enthusiasts and music lovers alike.

In addition to the exciting lineup of performances, the education team at ROHM will be launching two new initiatives in November 2024. The first initiative focuses on inspiring a love for reading and writing among children through the presentation of the popular book character Geronimo Stilton by Italian author Elisabetta Dami. This will be supplemented with a workshop on bringing characters to life on the written page, aimed at igniting creativity and imagination in young minds. The second initiative, called Let’s Read, will showcase theatrical presentations of stories and characters with YouThinkers, exploring the magical tale of Beauty and the Beast in an engaging and interactive manner.

The month will come to a close with a special performance by the Opera di Monte Carlo singers at the Opera Galleria, where they will be performing arias from La Fille du Regiment, promising an enchanting evening of opera. With its diverse and exciting lineup of events, November 2024 at the Royal Opera House Muscat promises to be a month filled with world-class performances, cultural enrichment, and unforgettable experiences for audiences of all ages.
