MP Khalid Buanq has raised concerns over the Ministry of Housing’s requirement for applicants to provide certificates stating they do not possess a commercial registration. This requirement has been met with criticism as it involves multiple procedures and a fee of BD10. Buanq argues that Bahrain’s electronic connectivity allows for easy access to the commercial registry system to verify this information. He believes that this process is unnecessarily burdensome for citizens and can be simplified by utilizing existing electronic systems to streamline the verification process.

Buanq has received complaints from applicants regarding the difficulties in obtaining these certificates and believes that the current process is outdated and inefficient. He suggests that utilizing the electronic interconnectivity of Bahrain’s systems can significantly reduce the time and effort required to verify the absence of a commercial registration. By accessing the commercial registry system online, individuals can easily confirm their status without the need for additional paperwork, fees, or visits to government offices.

The MP’s criticism of the Ministry’s requirement highlights the need for government processes to be modernized and streamlined to better serve citizens. By leveraging existing electronic systems such as “Sajilat,” the verification process can be simplified and made more efficient. This would not only benefit applicants but also improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of government procedures related to housing applications.

Buanq’s call for the elimination of the need for certificates confirming the absence of a commercial registration echoes the sentiments of many citizens who find the current process burdensome and time-consuming. By utilizing electronic systems for verification purposes, unnecessary bureaucracy and fees can be avoided, making the application process smoother and more user-friendly. This would ultimately lead to a more citizen-centric and efficient government service.

In conclusion, MP Khalid Buanq’s criticism of the Ministry of Housing’s requirement for applicants to obtain certificates confirming the absence of a commercial registration highlights the need for modernization and streamlining of government processes. By utilizing Bahrain’s electronic interconnectivity, the verification process can be simplified, reducing the burden on citizens and improving the overall efficiency of government procedures. It is essential for the government to adapt to technological advancements to better serve its citizens and ensure a more user-friendly and efficient application process for housing applicants.
