Al Ahli Saudi FC had a successful match against Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 campaign, securing their third consecutive win with a score of 2-1. The victory was highlighted by goals from Gabri Veiga and Feras Al Brikan, giving the Saudi team a solid lead going into halftime. Despite an own goal from Fahad Al Hamad providing some hope for Al Rayyan, they were unable to catch up to their opponents.

The game started off with an early opportunity for Al Rayyan to take the lead, but a strong defensive effort from Al Ahli’s goalkeeper, Ibanez, denied them. It was Al Ahli who broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when Gabri Veiga scored with a curling shot directly from a corner kick. The visitors continued to press on, leading to Al Brikan doubling their lead in the 38th minute with a header from a precise cross by Riyad Mahrez.

In the second half, Al Rayyan made an effort to come back, with Roger Guedes coming close to scoring in the 47th minute. However, it was Al Ahli who had the better chances, with Franck Kessie and Ivan Toney missing opportunities to extend their lead. Al Rayyan managed to pull one back in the 65th minute with an own goal from Fahad Al Hamad, but it was not enough to overcome Al Ahli’s lead.

Looking ahead, Al Rayyan will face Pakhtakor FC from Uzbekistan, while Al Ahli Saudi will play against Al Shorta of Iraq. Al Ahli’s strong start to the campaign puts them in a good position as they aim to continue their winning streak in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25. The team’s performance in this match showcased their offensive prowess and solid defense, setting a positive tone for the rest of the competition.

Overall, Al Ahli’s victory against Al Rayyan was a display of their dominance in the AFC Champions League. The team’s ability to control the game and capitalize on scoring opportunities was evident throughout the match. With players like Gabri Veiga and Feras Al Brikan leading the way, Al Ahli Saudi FC looks poised to make a strong impact in the tournament and compete for the title. Fans can look forward to more exciting matches as the campaign continues, with Al Ahli’s impressive form making them a team to watch in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25.
