Hidd, a residential area in Bahrain, has been undergoing significant transformation and development in recent years, catching the attention of many, including Mohammed Al Moqahwi, the area’s representative in the Muharraq Municipal Council. He highlighted the growth of Hidd, particularly with the rise of East Hidd City, making it a major focus for government projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. Some of the key projects in the area include a power station and water distribution site in East Hidd City, costing BD85 million, with funding from the Saudi Development Fund.

One of the notable projects in Hidd is the repairs on the Khalifa bin Salman Bridge, connecting Hidd to Manama, which was completed for $10 million. Al Moqahwi emphasized the importance of these repairs to ensure the bridge remains in good condition for the residents. Additionally, the Dry Dock Road was upgraded at a cost of $1 million, while infrastructure works, sewage systems, and road improvements were completed in Blocks 109 and 113. Future plans for Block 111 are in the pipeline and will proceed once the necessary funds are secured.

Furthermore, the government has laid out plans for various road projects in Muharraq, including the Bahrain Ring Road, the Muharraq Ring Road, the Fourth Muharraq-Manama Bridge, and enhancements to Riya Street, all aimed at easing traffic congestion in the area. Al Moqahwi commended the government’s efforts in addressing the community’s needs and ensuring that Hidd receives the necessary infrastructure developments to support its residents. He also expressed gratitude to the residents for their active participation and feedback in the planning process.

In conclusion, Al Moqahwi extended his thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their leadership in driving the economy forward and ensuring that the Kingdom continues to provide top-notch services to its citizens. The ongoing developments in Hidd and other parts of Bahrain reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and promoting sustainable growth and prosperity in the region. With ongoing projects and future plans in the pipeline, Hidd is poised to further transform and evolve into a modern and thriving community that meets the needs of its residents.
